Tennessee Farmers Co-Op Equi-Mate

Feeding Directions:  Feed 0.50 to 1.25% of body weight per horse per day
depending upon body condition and level of activity. Offer one half of the daily feed in the morning and the other half in the evening. Good quality forage (fresh or stored) should be available free choice. If horses are not accustomed to feed grains, begin feeding at 0.25% of body weight daily and slowly increase over 10 to 14 days to the previously recommended levels. Keep fresh, clean water available at all times except immediately following exercise. After exercise, allow horses to cool down completely before allowing access to free choice water.
